Dear all:
you might have noticed the official founding of our Northern German BGS chapter. This is an important milestone and we are happy for our achievements.
However, there are many more tasks to be completed in the next 6 to 9 month. We are looking for volunteers for the following tasks (more to be added later):
- Legal entity: who has some background in founding a non-profit legal entity in Germany? Includes the adaption of the constitution sample, bylaws, and policies to German law (see templates)
- Chapter’s Mission: who is willing to review our mission statement (see templates)
- Interim Officers: who is willing to fill one of the following vacant positions:
(1) president, (2) vice president, (3) treasurer, and (4) secretary. More information can be found here: Officers.
- Standing Committees: we also need to fill standing committees for the following topics: (1) Nominating Committee, (2) Financial Audit Committee. More information can be found here: Standing Committees.
- Temporary Committees: during the founding process, we need the following committees: (1) Chartering Reception Committee, (2) Member Benefits Committee. More information can be found here: Temporary Committees.
Thanks again for your commitment so far. It would be great if you find one or two tasks to support us in the next months to come.

the next step required to establish a regional chapter is to collect at least 10 petitions from members in the area who support our activities.
Therefore, your action is required! Please sign and return the Northern Germany PETITION, either to me or directly to the Board of Governors (USA).
