			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The BGS- Round Table Hannover gathered for the first time after the official Kick-Off in Berlin during the CeBIT 2012: After browsing through the extensive exhibition grounds we sat down to enjoy afghan specialties and discuss means of strengthening the young Northern Germany BGS chapter.<br />

Leveraging of our network of regional Round Tables in Berlin, Hannover, Hamburg and Münster our primary focus is to assemble more participants through attractive programming. Invitations to such events, just as all reports about different activities will be posted here, as well as through our open<a title="bgs on facebook" href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/bgsng/" target="_blank"> facebook group (join now!)</a>. Additionally, all information will be spread to potential members via the main BGS-mailing list.</p>
<p>Reestablishing ties to Hannovers MBA-Programm at GISMA is next up on our todo-list. Also, Michael will see to merging the existing BGS-XING groups for everbody&#8217;s convenience.  What are your priorities?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our Kick-Off event at the Berlin School of Economics and Law was a great success. We gathered together to discuss the progress of the chapter and our next steps.<span id="more-202"></span> Our meeting minutes in detail:</p>
<p>Andreas Zaby presented an overview of the Berlin School of Economics and Law. Michael Olschimke presented the current progress of the chapter and outstanding issues.</p>
<h1>Election of Officers</h1>
<p>The following officers have been elected:</p>
<ul>
<li>President: Michael Olschimke</li>
<li>Vice President: Andreas Zaby</li>
<li>Secretary: Björn Anders</li>
<li>COO: Julia Gösler</li>
<li>Marketing: Magdalen Hayes</li>
</ul>
<p>In addition, we have filled the following regional positions/officers:</p>
<ul>
<li>Münster: Karsten Kraume</li>
<li>Berlin: Travis Heneveld</li>
<li>Hannover: Gernot Kalb</li>
<li>Hamburg: Phillip Schügner</li>
</ul>
<h1>Constitution and Bylaws</h1>
<p>The present members have accepted the chapter <a href="http://www.bgsgermany.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Constitution.docx">constitution</a> and <a href="http://www.bgsgermany.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Bylaws.doc">bylaws</a> as presented during the session.</p>
<h1>Next Actions</h1>
<p>The following actions are to be undertaken in the near future:</p>
<ol>
<li>Establish contact to the University of Münster (Karsten Kraume)</li>
<li>Establish contact to the GISMA School in Hannover (Gernot Kalb)</li>
<li>Create XING and Facebook Groups and add all members to the groups (Magdalen Hayes)</li>
<li>Organize all current members in Germany to sign up with the XING and Facebook groups (Michael Olschimke)</li>
<li>Organize regional round tables (regional officers) in early 2012 (February)</li>
